Brief: Tasked with revitalizing an existing airport, the project focused on the the complete overhaul of the PHX airport logo, brand elements, airport map, and all signage including, directional, lavatory, and gate markers. 2D and 3D software was utilized for the signage design and photo manipulation was prevalent in each display piece.
The project began by establishing a new identity for the airport. A custom logo, color palette, secondary elements and typefaces were the foundation to this redesign. A colorful aesthetic, reminiscent of the Arizona landscape, was implemented throughout the project. Using Nomad Sculpt, the signage was intricately constructed to the required proportions with color being applied in the post-process.

The PHX rebrand began with an overhaul of the airport's identity. A custom logo was created along with the addition of new brand colors and typefaces. A large portion of the project was making new interior, exterior, and directional signage. These signs were created using both Adobe Illustrator and the 3D-modeling program, Nomad Sculpt. New signage required new pictograms to complement the rebrand so, 28 new icons were designed for them.
